July 13, 2001 Last day community college students can apply for Fall 2001 Cooperative Program Registration.
Aug. 1-Sept. 6, 2001 Fee Payment at A1500 University Center. For account status and fee payments visit http://www.fees.fsu.edu
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. each day; open until 6:00 p.m. on August 30 and Sept. 6.
Annual student parking permits are issued at A1500 University Center and other locations as posted.
Aug. 18, 2001 Residence Halls open at noon.
Aug. 20-24, 2001 New Student Orientation and Advising.
Aug. 21-24, 2001 Registration for First time at FSU degree-seeking students (Undergraduate): 3 p.m.- 8 p.m.
Aug. 23-24, 2001 Registration for First time FSU degree-seeking students (Graduate): 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Aug. 24, 2001 Last day to file for change in residency status.
Aug. 24-30, 2001 Special Student Registration (unless using State Employee fee waiver).Aug. 24, 2001 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Aug. 25-30, 2001 8 a.m. - midnight
New Special Students (main campus) will be assessed a one-time $l5.00 processing fee.
Aug. 25-30, 2001 State Employee Registration (for those using State Employee fee waivers)
Florida National Guard Registration (for those using National Guard STEP waivers)
Drop/Add, 8 a.m. - midnight,
Drop/Add ends at midnight, August 30, 2001.
Aug. 27, 2001 Classes Begin.
Aug. 27-28, 2001 Late Registration. ($100.00 late registration fee.)
Aug. 27-30, 2001 FAMU-FSU Co-op Program Registration at the Office of the Registrar: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Aug. 27-31, 2001 State Employee Fee Waiver Eligibility Form due to the Office of the University Registrar. Contact your Personnel Office for pick-up and approval dates.
Aug. 30, 2001 Last day to Drop/Add and have fees adjusted. Students are liable for all fees for courses still on their schedules at 12:00 midnight.
Last day to add a course without academic dean's permission.
Aug. 31, 2001 Fifth Day of Classes.
Last day to cancel enrollment and have fees removed.
Last day to submit waivers, billings or deferment (except financial aid students)-see below.
Sept. 3, 2001 Labor Day. No Classes.
Sept. 4, 2001 All Financial Aid students must check their financial aid status at http://www.fees.fsu.edu or call their administrative voice message at 850-644-0539.
Sept. 5-6, 2001 Financial Aid distribution for exceptions: exceptions for financial aid funds on hold; distribution at A1500 University Center, 8:30a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Sept. 6, 2001 Last day to pay or defer fees without a $100 late fee.
Sept. 7, 2001 Last day to Register for CLAST exam (850 - 644-3181).
Last day to file for Fall 2001 Graduation at the Office of the University Registrar.
Sept. 10-14, 2001 New Transfer Student Follow-up Session. First term transfers should make an individual follow-up appointment with their advisor to review schedules.
Sept. 21, 2001 End of Fourth Week of Classes.
Last day to reduce course load without permission of academic dean. Dean's permission required to drop below twelve (12) semester hours.
Last day to drop a course without receiving a grade.
Last day to withdraw without receiving a grade.
Last day to submit approved Gordon Rule contracts.
Last day to submit form requesting S/U grading or to change S/U option back to regular grade.
Oct. 4, 2001 Spring 2002 Directory of Classes available.
Oct. 6, 2001 CLAST exam given.
Oct. 8-12, 2001 Spring 2002 Upper Division Academic Advising for all currently enrolled and readmitted degree-seeking students.
Oct. 12, 2001 Installment Contract Balance Due. No exceptions.
Oct. 16, 2001 Registration for Spring 2002 begins.
Oct. 19, 2001 Last day to file to repeat a course under the Forgiveness Policy or to cancel such notice. No exceptions.
Oct. 22-26, 2001 Spring 2002 Lower Division Academic Advising for all currently enrolled and readmitted degree-seeking students.
Nov. 9, 2001 Homecoming: No classes after 1:10 p.m.
Nov. 12, 2001 Veteran's Day Holiday. No Classes.
Nov. 13, 2001 Official Thesis/ Dissertation manuscript approval deadline for Fall semester, 408 Westcott.
Nov. 13-15, 2001 Loan exit interviews must be completed by going to the "Money Matters" section at http://www.studentsfirst.fsu.edu.
Nov. 16, 2001 Last day to officially withdraw from school
Financial Aid Deferments Expire. Full tuition payment must be made by the student to avoid a late payment.
Last day community college students can apply for Spring 2002 Cooperative Program Registration.
Veterans' Deferments Expire.
Nov. 19, 2001 Official Thesis/Dissertation copies due to manuscript clearance advisor for Fall semester, 408 Westcott.
Nov. 22-23, 2001 Thanksgiving Day Holiday. No classes.
Dec. 5, 2001 Last day to turn in Servscript verification forms.
Dec. 7, 2001 Last Day of Classes.
Last day to reduce course load, if permitted, by the academic dean.
Last day to apply for A. A. Certificate at the Office of Undergraduate Studies, A3400 University Center.
