Sept. 25, 2000 Spring 2001 Directory of Classes available.
Oct. 17 - Dec. 1, 2000 Registration for continuing and readmitted students: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. See "Registration Windows and Admission Deadlines."
Nov. 2, 2000 Transfer Student Early Orientation Registration - 4 p.m.
Jan. 3 -12, 2001 Fee Payment at A1500 University Center 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; open until 6:00 p.m. on January 11.
Jan. 4, 2001 Residence Halls open at 9 a.m.
Jan. 4 -5, 2001 New Student Orientation and Advising.
Jan. 5, 2001 Registration for First time at FSU degree-seeking students (Undergraduate): 1 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Registration for First-time FSU degree-seeking students (Graduate): 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Last day to file for change in residency status.
Jan. 5 - 11, 2001 Special Student Registration (unless using state employee fee waivers)
Jan. 5, 2001 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Jan. 6 - 11, 2001 8 a.m. - midnight
New Special Students (main campus) will be assessed a one-time $l5.00 processing fee.
Jan. 6 - 11, 2001 State Employee Registration (for those using State Employee fee waivers)
Florida National Guard Registration (for those using National Guard waivers)
Drop/Add, 8 a.m. - midnight;
Drop/Add ends at midnight, Jan. 11, 2001.
Jan. 8, 2001 Classes Begin.
Jan. 8-9, 2001 Late Registration ($100.00 late registration fee).
Jan. 8 -12 , 2001 FAMU-FSU Co-op Program Registration at the Office of the Registrar: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Jan. 8-12, 2001 State Employee Fee Waiver Eligibility Form Due to the Office of the University Registrar. Contact your Personnel Office for pick-up and approval dates.
Jan. 11, 2001 Last day to Drop/Add and have fees adjusted.
Students are liable for all fees for courses still on their schedules at 12:00 midnight.
Last day to add a course without academic dean's permission.
Changes beyond January 11 are subject to fee liability.
Jan. 12, 2001 Fifth Day of Classes.
Last day to cancel enrollment and have fees removed.
Last day to pay tuition, submit waivers, billings or deferment (except financial aid students) see below.
Last day to pay fees without a $100 late fee.
Jan. 15, 2001 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. No Classes.
Jan. 16, 2001 All financial aid students must check their financial aid status at http://www.fees.fsu.edu or call their administrative voice mail message at (850) 644-0539.
Jan. 17 -18, 2001 Financial Aid Distribution for Exceptions: Exceptions for financial aid funds on hold; Distribution at A1500 University Center, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Jan. 18, 2001 Last day to pay or defer tuition for financial aid recipients.
Jan. 19, 2001 Last day to Register for CLAST exam (850 644-3181).
  Last day to file for Spring 2001 Graduation at the Office of the University Registrar.
Jan. 22 - 26, 2001 New Transfer Student Workshop.
First-term transfers should make an individual follow-up appointment with their advisor to review schedules.
Feb. 2, 2001 End of Fourth Week of Classes.
Last day to reduce course load without permission of academic dean.
Dean's permission required to drop below twelve (12) semester hours.
Last day to drop a course without receiving a grade. Last day to withdraw without receiving a grade.
Last day to submit approved Gordon Rule contracts.
Last day to submit form requesting S/U grading or to change S/U option back to regular grade.
Feb. 16, 2001 Installment Contract Balance Due. No exceptions.
Feb. 17, 2001 CLAST exam given.
March 2, 2001 Last day to file to repeat a course under the Forgiveness Policy or to cancel such notice. No exceptions.
Mar. 5, 2001 Summer and Fall 2001 Directory of Classes available.
Mar. 5 - 9, 2001 Summer and Fall 2001 Upper Division Academic Advising for all currently enrolled and readmitted degree-seeking students.
Mar. 12 - 16, 2001 Spring Break.
Residence Halls close Mar. 10 at Noon
Residence Halls reopen Mar. 17 at Noon
Mar. 19 - 23, 2001 Summer and Fall 2001 Lower Division
Academic Advising for all currently enrolled and readmitted degree-seeking students.
Mar. 20, 2001 Registration for Summer and Fall 2001 begins.
Mar. 23, 2001 Financial Aid Deferments Expire. Full payment must be received to avoid a late payment.
Mar. 30, 2001 Last day to officially withdraw from school.
Apr. 2, 2001 Official Thesis/ Dissertation manuscript approval deadline Spring semester - 408 Wescott.
Apr. 6, 2001 Last day community college students can apply for Summer 2001 Cooperative Program Registration.
Apr. 9, 2001 Official Thesis/Dissertation copies due to manuscript clearance advisor, 408 Wescott, for Spring Semester.
Apr. 10 - 11, 2001 Financial Aid Exit Interviews: 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Location: TBA.
Apr. 18, 2001 Last day to turn in servscript verification forms.
Apr. 20, 2001 Last Day of Classes. Last day to reduce course load, if permitted, by the academic dean.
Last day to apply for A. A. Certificate at the Office of Undergraduate Studies, 3rd floor University Center.
Apr. 23 - 27, 2001 Final Examination Week
April 27, 2001 Semester Ends
Commencement: Civic Center 7:30 p.m.
