Oct. 15 - Nov. 29, 2002 Registration for continuing and readmitted students: 8 a.m. - midnight. See "Registration Windows."
Nov. 1, 2002 Transfer Student Early Orientation Registration - 2 p.m.
Nov. 25 - 29, 2002 Special Student Registration 8 a.m. - midnight.
New Special Students (main campus) will be assessed a one-time $l5.00 processing fee.
Dec. 2, 2002 - Jan. 17, 2003 Apply for Graduation Spring 2003 at Office of University Registrar (A3900 UC.)
Jan. 2, 2003 Residence Halls open at 9:00 a.m.
Jan. 2 - 16, 2003 Fee Payment at A1500 University Center 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; open until 6:00 p.m. on January 10 and 16.
Jan. 3, 2003 New Student Orientation and Advising.
Registration for First-time at FSU degree-seeking students (Undergraduate): 2 p.m. - midnight.
Registration for First-time FSU degree-seeking students (Graduate): 8 a.m. - midnight.
Last day to file for change in residency status for Spring 2003.
Jan. 4 - 9, 2003 Florida National Guard Registration (for those using National Guard waivers.)
Drop/Add, 8 a.m. - midnight;
Drop/Add ends at midnight, Jan. 9, 2003.
Jan 4 -13, 2003 Drop/Add, Law School Only, 8 a.m. - midnight.
Jan. 6, 2003 Classes Begin.
Jan. 6 - 7, 2003 Late Registration ($100.00 late registration fee.)
Jan. 6 - 10, 2003 FAMU-FSU Co-op Program Registration at the Office of the University Registrar: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Jan. 6 - 10, 2003 National Guard Fee Waiver Eligibility Form Due to the Office of the University Registrar.
Jan. 8, 2003 Law Classes Begin.
Jan. 9, 2003 Last day to Drop/Add and have fees adjusted. Students are liable for all fees for courses still on their schedules at 12:00 midnight.
Last day to add a course without academic dean's permission. Changes beyond January 9 are subject to fee liability. (Jan. 13 for Law.)
Jan. 10, 2003 Fifth Day of Classes.
Last day to cancel enrollment and have fees removed.
Last day to submit waivers, billings or veterans' deferment.
Registration for those using State Employee Fee Waivers, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., A3900 UC.
Jan. 13 - 14, 2003 All financial aid students must check their financial aid status at http://www.studentsfirst.fsu.edu or call their administrative voice mail message at (850) 644-0539.
Jan. 15 - 16, 2003 Financial Aid Distribution and Deferments for financial aid funds on hold, at A1500 University Center, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Jan. 16, 2003 Last day to pay or defer tuition for all students or receive a $100 late payment fee.
Jan. 17, 2003 Last day to Register for CLAST exam, (850) 644-3181.
Last day to file for Spring 2003 Graduation at the Office of the University Registrar, A3900 UC.
Jan. 20, 2003 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. No Classes.
Jan. 20 - 24, 2003 New Transfer Student Workshop. First-term transfers should make an individual follow-up appointment with their advisor to review schedules.
Jan. 31, 2003 End of Fourth Week of Classes.
Last day to reduce course load without permission of academic dean. Dean's permission required to drop below twelve (12) semester hours.
Last day to drop a course without receiving a grade.
Last day to withdraw without receiving a grade.
Last day to submit form requesting S/U grading or to change S/U option back to regular grade.
Feb. 14, 2003 Installment Contract Balance Due. No exceptions.
Feb. 15, 2003 CLAST exam given.
Feb. 28, 2003 Last day to file to repeat a course under the Forgiveness Policy or to cancel such notice. No exceptions.
Mar. 3, 2003 Summer and Fall 2003 Registration Guide available on FSU website http://registrar.fsu.edu.
Mar. 3 - 7, 2003 Summer and Fall 2003 Upper Division Academic Advising for all currently enrolled and readmitted degree-seeking students.
Mar. 10 - 14, 2003 Spring Break.
Residence Halls close Mar. 8 at Noon.
Residence Halls reopen Mar. 16 at Noon.
Mar. 14, 2003 Financial Aid and Veterans' Deferments Expire.
Full tuition payment must be received to avoid a late payment fee.
Mar. 17 - 21, 2003 Summer and Fall 2003 Lower Division Academic Advising for all currently enrolled and readmitted degree-seeking students.
Mar. 18, 2003 Registration for Summer and Fall 2003 begins.
Mar. 28, 2003 Last day to officially withdraw from school.
Apr. 4, 2003 Last day community college students can apply for Summer 2003 Cooperative Program Registration.
Apr. 7, 2003 Official Thesis/ Dissertation manuscript approval deadline Spring semester - 408 Westcott.
Apr. 10, 2003 Deadline for Completion of Financial Aid Loan Exit Interviews via website at http://www.studentsfirst.fsu.edu.
Apr. 14, 2003 Official Thesis/Dissertation copies due to manuscript clearance advisor, 408 Westcott, for Spring Semester.
Apr. 23, 2003 Last day to turn in Servscript verification forms.
Apr. 25, 2003 Last Day of Classes.
Last day to reduce course load, if permitted, by the academic dean.
Last day to apply for A. A. Certificate at the Office of Undergraduate Studies, A3400 University Center.
Apr. 28 - May 2, 2003 Final Examination Week.
May 2, 2003 Semester Ends.
Commencement: Civic Center, 7:30 p.m.
May 3, 2003 Residence Halls close at noon.
Diplomas dated this date.

May 5 - 6, 2003 Registrar's Office closed for grade processing.
