Sept. 30, 2003 Spring 2004 Registration Guide available on FSU website http://registrar.fsu.edu.

Oct. 14 – Dec. 5, 2003 Registration for continuing and readmitted students: 8 a.m. – midnight. See "Registration Windows."

Oct. 31, 2003 Transfer Student Early Orientation
Registration – 2:30 p.m.

Nov. 24 – Dec. 5, 2003 Special Student Registration
8 a.m. – midnight.
New Special Students (main campus) will be assessed a non-refundable $20.00 application processing fee.

Dec. 1, 2003–Jan. 21, 2004 Apply for Graduation Spring 2004 at Office of the University Registrar (A3900 UC.)

Dec. 25, 2003 - Jan. 4, 2004 University Closed for Holidays.

Jan. 5, 2004 University Reopens at 8:00 a.m.

Jan. 5 – 20, 2004 Fee Payment at A1500 University Center 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; open until 6:00 p.m. on January 13 and 20.

Jan. 5, 2004 Residence Halls open at 9:00 a.m.

Jan. 6, 2004 New Student Orientation and Advising.
Registration for First-time at FSU degree-seeking students (Undergraduate): 2:30 p.m. – midnight.
Registration for First-time FSU degree-seeking students (Graduate): 8 a.m. – midnight.
Last day to file for change in residency status for Spring 2004.

Jan. 7, 2004 Classes Begin.
Law Classes Begin.

Jan. 7 – 8, 2004 Late Registration ($100.00 late registration fee.)

Jan 7 – 12, 2004 Drop/Add, 8 a.m. – midnight.
Drop/Add ends at midnight, Jan. 12, 2004.
Drop/Add, Law School,
8 a.m. – midnight.
Florida National Guard Registration
(for those using National Guard waivers.)

Jan. 7 – 13, 2004 FAMU-FSU Co-op Program Registration at the Office of the University Registrar: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
National Guard Fee Waiver Eligibility Form Due to the Office of the University Registrar.

Jan 12, 2004 Last day to Drop/Add and have fees adjusted.
Students are liable for all fees for courses still on their schedules at 12:00 midnight.
Last day to add a course without academic dean's permission. Changes beyond January 12 are subject to fee liability.

Jan. 13, 2004 Fifth Day of Classes.
Last day to cancel enrollment and have fees removed.
Last day to submit waivers, billings or veterans' deferment.
Registration for those using State Employee Fee Waivers, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., A3900 UC.

Jan. 14 – 15, 2004 All financial aid students must check their financial aid status at http://www.studentsfirst.fsu.edu or call their administrative voice mail message at (850) 644-0539.

Jan. 16 and 20, 2004 Financial Aid Distribution and Deferments for financial aid funds on hold, at A1500 University Center, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Jan. 19, 2004 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. No Classes.

Jan. 20, 2004 Last day to pay or defer tuition for all students or receive a $100.00 late payment fee.

Jan. 20 – 23, 2004 New Transfer Student Workshop. First-term transfers should make an individual follow-up appointment with their advisor to review schedules.

Jan. 21, 2004 Last day to file for Spring 2004 Graduation at the Office of the University Registrar, A3900 UC.

Jan. 23, 2004 Last day to Register for CLAST exam, (850) 644-3181.

Feb. 3, 2004 End of Fourth Week of Classes.
Last day to reduce course load without permission of academic dean. Dean's permission required to drop below twelve (12) semester hours.
Last day to drop a course without receiving a grade.
Last day to withdraw without receiving a grade.
Last day to submit form requesting S/U grading or to change S/U option back to regular grade.

Feb. 20, 2004 Installment Contract Balance Due. No exceptions.

Feb. 21, 2004 CLAST exam given.

Mar. 1, 2004 Summer and Fall 2004 Registration Guides available on FSU website http://registrar.fsu.edu.
Summer and Fall 2004 course listings available on Course Lookup system.
Last day community college students can apply for Summer 2004 Cooperative Program Registration.

Mar. 1 – 26, 2004 Summer and Fall 2004 Academic Advising for all currently enrolled and readmitted degree-seeking students.

Mar. 2, 2004 Last day to file to repeat a course under the Forgiveness Policy or to cancel such notice. No exceptions.

Mar. 8 – 12, 2004 Spring Break.
Residence Halls close Mar. 6 at Noon.
Residence Halls reopen Mar. 14 at Noon.

Mar. 12, 2004 Financial Aid and Veterans' Deferments Expire.
Full tuition payment must be received to avoid a late payment fee.

Mar. 16, 2004 Registration for Summer and Fall 2004 begins.

Mar. 30, 2004 Last day to officially withdraw from school.

Apr. 5, 2004 Official Thesis/ Dissertation manuscript approval deadline Spring semester 408 Westcott.

Apr. 8, 2004 Deadline for Completion of Financial Aid Loan Exit Interviews via website at http://www.studentsfirst.fsu.edu.

Apr. 12, 2004 Official Thesis/Dissertation copies due to manuscript clearance advisor, 408 Westcott, for Spring Semester.

Apr. 21, 2004 Last day to turn in Servscript verification forms.

Apr. 23, 2004 Last Day of Classes. Last day to reduce course load, if permitted, by the academic dean.
Last day to apply for AA Certificate at the Office of Undergraduate Studies, A3400 University Center.

Apr. 26 – 30, 2004 Final Examination Week.

Apr. 30, 2004 Semester Ends. Commencement: Civic Center, 7:30 p.m.

May 1, 2004 Residence Halls close at noon.
Diplomas dated this date. Commencement: Civic Center, 9 a.m.

May 3, 2004 Grades Due. Current Records area of the Office of the University Registrar closed for grade processing.

May 4, 2004 Grade Posting area of the Office of the University Registrar closed for grade processing.
Grades available on Student Access System (644-8888) and FSU Website.
