Oct. 20 Dec. 3, 1999 Registration for continuing and readmitted students: 8 a.m.-8 p.m. See Registration Windows and Admission Deadlines.
Nov. 2, 1999 Transfer Student Early Orientation Registration 4 p.m.
Jan. 2, 2000 Residence Halls open at Noon
Jan. 3-4, 2000 New Student Orientation and Advising.
Jan. 4, 2000 Registration for First time at FSU degreeseeking students (Undergraduate): 1 p.m.-8 p.m.
Registration for First time FSU degreeseeking students (Graduate): 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
Last day to file for change in residency status.
Jan. 4-10, 2000 Special Student Registration (unless using stateemployee fee waivers) Jan. 4, 2000 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Jan. 5 10, 2000 8 a.m.-midnight.
New Special Students (main campus) will be assessed a one-time $l5.00 processing fee.
Jan. 5-10, 2000 State Employee Registration (for those using State Employee fee waivers)
Florida National Guard Registration (for those using National Guard waivers)
Drop/Add, 8 a.m.-midnight;
Drop/Add ends at midnight, Jan. 10, 2000.
Jan. 5, 2000 Classes Begin.
Jan. 5-6, 2000 Late Registration ($100.00 late registration fee).
Jan. 5-7, 10, 2000 FAMU-FSU Co-op Program Registration at the Office of the Registrar: 8 a.m. 5 p.m.
Jan. 5-7, 10, 11, 2000 Fee Payment at the Oglesby Union Ballroom 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. each day; open until 6:00 p.m. on January 10.
State Employee Fee Waiver Eligibility Form Due to the Office of the University Registrar. Contact your Personnel Office for pickup and approval dates.
Jan. 10, 2000 Last day to Drop/Add and have fees adjusted.Students are liable for all fees for courses still on their schedules at 12:00 midnight.
Last day to add a course without academic deans permission. Changes beyond January 10 are subject to fee liability.
Jan. 11, 2000 Fifth Day of Classes.
Last day to cancel enrollment and have feesremoved.
Last day to pay tuition, submit waivers, billings or deferment (except financial aid students)see below.
Last day to pay fees without a $100 late fee.
Jan. 14, 2000 All financial aid students must call theiradministrative voice mail message at 1-888-378-2273 to retrieve information regardingthe delivery of their financial aid awards.
Jan. 17, 2000 Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. No Classes.
Jan. 19-20, 2000 Financial Aid Distribution for Exceptions: Exceptions for financial aid funds on hold; Distribution at A1500 University Center, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. according to posted scheduleby students last name.
Jan. 20, 2000 Last day to pay or defer tuition for financial aid recipients.
Jan. 21, 2000 Last day to Register for CLAST exam.
Last day to file for Spring 2000 Graduation at the Office of the University Registrar.
Jan. 24-28, 2000 New Transfer Student Workshop. First-term transfers should make an individual follow-up appointment with their advisor to review schedules.
Feb. 1, 2000 End of Fourth Week of Classes. Last day to reduce course load without permissionof academic dean.
Deans permission required to drop below twelve (12) semester hours.
Last day to drop a course without receiving a grade.
Last day to withdraw without receiving a grade.
Last day to submit approved Gordon Rule contracts.
Last day to submit form requesting S/U grading or to change S/U option back to regular grade.
Feb. 18, 2000 Installment Contract Balance Due. No exceptions.
Feb. 19, 2000 CLAST exam given.
Feb. 29, 2000 Last day to file to repeat a course under the Forgiveness Policy or to cancel such notice. No exceptions.
Last day for first time enrolled students to withdraw from the University and receive a pro-rata refund.
Mar. 3, 2000 Summer and Fall 2000 Directory of Classes available.
Mar. 6-10, 2000 Spring Break. Residence Halls close Mar. 4 at Noon Residence Halls reopen Mar. 12 at Noon
Mar. 6-10, 2000 Summer and Fall 2000 Upper Division Academic Advising for all currently enrolled and readmitted degree-seeking students.
Mar. 14, 2000 Registration for Summer and Fall 2000 begins.
Mar. 20-24, 2000 Summer and Fall 2000 Lower Division Academic Advising for all currently enrolled and readmitted degree-seeking students.
Mar. 24, 2000 Financial Aid Deferments Expire. Full payment must be received to avoid a late payment.
Mar. 28, 2000 Last day to officially withdraw from school.
Apr. 3, 2000 Official Thesis/ Dissertation manuscript approval deadline Spring semester 408 Wescott.
Apr. 7, 2000 Last day community college students can apply for Summer 2000 Cooperative Program Registration.
Apr. 10, 2000 Official Thesis/Dissertation copies due tomanuscript clearance advisor, 408 Wescott, for Spring Semester.
Apr. 11-13, 2000 Financial Aid Exit Interviews: 9 a.m. 3:30 p.m. Location: TBA.
Apr. 19, 2000 Last day to turn in servscript verification forms.
Apr. 21, 2000 Last Day of Classes.
Last day to reduce course load, if permitted, by the academic dean. Last day to apply for A. A. Certificate at the Office of Undergraduate Studies, 3rd floor University Center.
Apr. 24-28, 2000 Final Examination Week
April 28, 2000 Semester Ends
Commencement: Civic Center 7:30 p.m.
April 29, 2000 Residence Halls close at noon.Diplomas dated this date. Commencement: Civic Center, 9 a.m.
May 1-2, 2000 Registrars Office closed for grade processing.
May 3-4, 2000 Grades available on Administrative Voice Mailbox(AVM) and FSU Web Site.
