How to Validate the CeDiploma
Each CeDiploma is identical to its paper sibling, but presented in an electronic, secure, and verifiable format.
You can verify the credential's validity online by either:
Using the diploma validation page. Go to the University's website, and use the 12-digit Certified Electronic Document ID (CeDiD), along with the first two letters of the name as it appears on the document.
Looking for the digital signature. View the document through Adobe Reader or Acrobat versions 9.0 or higher. If the digital signature was applied, you will be able to see it because each CeDiploma is digitally signed by CeCredential Trust.
Additionally, Adobe Reader and Acrobat apply a blue ribbon across the top of the document to indicate that it's authentic and hasn't been tampered with.
NOTE: Mac users should be aware that when viewing an official, electronic credential from FSU, the software utilizes Adobe's secure, certified PDF technology. Therefore, the credential may only be viewable using the free version of Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat 9.0 or higher. The default Mac preview application will not display the document correctly.
