Basic search for a requirement
The following sample search will lead you through the use of this application. It is important to understand that selecting certain criteria in combination will restrict the search to only those courses meeting all those conditions. Some of the conditions are mutually exclusive, and will result in no courses appearing in the list.
Sample search: you need to take courses to meet the liberal studies-history requirement, you still need to take a multicultural X class, and you need a Gordon Rule class. You decide to select all three conditions to see what courses satisfy these requirements.
1. Click in the boxes for 'History', 'Cross Cultural (X)', and 'Gordon Rule Course (W)'. These are the three conditions described above in the sample search. Your screen should look like the one in Figure 1 below.

2. Adjust your search items if needed and then click the 'Search' button.
You search will return a list of courses meeting these criteria in a table format. Each course will appear in the left-hand side of the screen. Several columns will provide additional information about the requirements met by that particular course. Liberal studies courses will have an abbreviation indicating which of the five areas they satisfy. In the case of multicultural courses, an “X” or a “Y” will appear to indicate the area to which it is applicable. Empty fields indicate that the course in question does not apply to that requirement. Note: a legend is always available at the bottom of the course list. Remember to scroll if you do not see it. See Figure 2 below.
