Other functions you can perform from this page
Looking up courses. If you do not know the reference number for a class, or just need to search for a class within a department, but cannot remember the number unless you see it, you may do so from this page. Click the 'Courses' link at the bottom of the page to access the 'Course Look Up' system. See the 'Course Look Up' section of this Guide for specifics on how to search for courses.
Reserving books. Clicking the 'Reserve/Buy Books' link will allow you to reserve your books in advance at the University Bookstore. Bookstore employees will pull your books together and hold them at a reserve desk with your name.
Return to the main menu. Click the 'Menu' button to return to the main menu.
Trouble?
I've never registered before and I don't know what my PIN is. Your default registration PIN is your birth month and year, in the MMYY format. For example, if you were born in April of 1969, your default PIN is 0469.
I entered a PIN but received a message that it is wrong. Make sure that you are using your registration PIN and not an ATM, FSUCard, or long-distance PIN. These are all different numbers, unless you have chosen to use the same number in all cases and have actively taken steps to change all possible PINs to the same number. Changing the PIN in one area, does not affect the other PINs that you may be asked to provide for other systems. If the problem persists, you will need to have your registration PIN reset to the default. See next item for how to reset your PIN.
I need to have my PIN reset because it is not working/I forgot it. You will need to stop by or contact Current Records in the Office of the University Registrar at (850) 644-3403 to have your PIN reset to the default.
I received a message that says I'm not eligible to register. Several reasons may account for this. First, you may be trying to register outside of your window. See the 'Registration Windows' published the Registration Guide. It is possible that if you are trying to register right around the opening time or closing time of the window, your clock is different from the system clock that authorized entry. Try back later (if you tried at the opening time) or the next day (if you tried around the closing time). If you are a first-time-at-FSU student, it is possible you have not completed Orientation. Contact the Orientation Office to verify your status. In all cases; you may contact Current Records in the Office of the University Registrar at (850) 644-3403.
I received a message that says I have a hold because of a health stop. This typically occurs because your immunization record has not been transmitted to or updated at Thagard Health Center. Contact the Thagard Health Center directly at (850) 644-6573.
I received a message that says I have a hold for financial reasons. Financial holds may be placed for a variety of reasons, such as outstanding parking tickets, FSUCard replacements, library fines and tuition. Check your fees on-line or contact the Office of Student Financial Services (850) 644-9452 to resolve this issue.
I received a message that says there is course restriction. I can't register for a course. This typically happens when you are trying to register for a class that is restricted to certain majors, students in specific locations or programs, etc. Contact either your advisor or the department to find out what the restrictions are and what your options might be.
I checked my fees earlier in the year and they are different now. I haven't added or dropped any classes. Typically this happens because the new fees were not approved at the time you registered for the classes. When the new fees have been entered in the system, everyone's balances are adjusted. This may include lab fees, tuition, etc. Typically, fees for the new academic year are approved by the Legislature and entered in the system by the beginning of August. Until the new approved fees are entered you may owe $0.00 or $9999.00. You may contact the Office of Student Financial Services at (850) 644-9452 to check whether the new fees have been entered yet, or you may wait and check back after the beginning of August.
