Forgiveness, Drop/Add and Withdrawal Policy Changes
Forgiveness Policy
Summer 2004 was the last semester in which students may file for application of the Forgiveness Policy. Beginning Fall 2004, the University will replace the Forgiveness Policy with a new late drop policy. Continuing students who had planned to file for the Forgiveness Policy during or after Fall 2004 should contact their academic dean for appropriate advising about their options.
Drop/Add Policy
Effective Fall 2004, the deadline for students to drop courses without their academic dean’s permission or grade liability has been moved from the end of the 4th week of the semester to the end of the 7th week of the semester. Courses may be dropped through the end of the 7th week of classes with the exception of mandated college-preparatory courses, freshman composition courses and courses involved in allegations of academic dishonesty.
Approval of the Academic Dean is required if you are dropping your course load below 12 hours or increasing your course load to over 18 hours.
Withdrawal Policy
Effective Fall 2004, the deadline to officially withdraw from the University without grade liability has been moved from the end of the 4th week of the semester to the end of the 7th week of the semester. For information about withdrawing from the University, please contact the Office of Withdrawal Services at (850) 644-1741.
Students are financially liable for tuition for all courses that appear on their schedule after the 4th day of classes (the end of the official Drop/Add period).
