Current Records is the unit responsible for a variety of administrative actions which include; registration, drop/add, grade processing, academic status control, residency changes, withdrawals, enrollment cancellations, and posting permanent academic records. The following sections are elements of the Current Records area:
Reception and Information: 850-644-1050
Answers telephone inquiries, greets and assists visitors, distributes publications, and distributes and receives various academic forms.
Registration: 850-644-1050
Responsible for all registration activity, drop/add, special permit forms, late registration waivers, state employee fee waivers, linkage waivers, FSU/FAMU Coop, and enrollment cancellations.
Registration for Audited Courses: 850-644-1050
Provides the Registration for Audited Courses form, as a downloadable Adobe PDF, required of individuals wishing to audit classes. Seating is on a space-available basis after the official registration period ends.
Grade Services/Posting: 850-644-5006
Processes all FSU grade transactions to include grade rosters, grade changes, correspondence course grades, grade problems, and exceptions to credit hours. Monitors and controls student academic status and processes academic reinstatements for dismissed students.

Legislative Alert
Section 1009.21, F.S., Determination of resident status for tuition purposes, was amended during the 2009 legislative session. The rules and guidelines are in the process of being revised to reflect the new changes. View a copy of the amended section of law (see lines 278-457). As a result of this change in the law, the University has changed its review process. Students are encouraged to contact our office for more information. |
Advises students, parents, and staff on Florida statutes and Board of Regents criteria for establishing Florida residency for tuition purposes. Processes claims for change in residency. Coordinates the Academic Common Market program. Records finalized, approved formal withdrawals from the University.
University Appeals Committee: 850-644-1050
Receives documentation for and prepares tuition appeal cases for consideration by the University Appeals Committee.
