Last day for community college and FSU students to submit Spring 2026 transient applications.
Charges and enrollment to Spring/Summer-term student health insurance post for students who have not submitted their insurance waiver for spring.

Last day to file for a change in residency status

Drop/Add (Including the College of Law). Begins 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Monday Jan. 12
Late Registration ($100.00 late registration fee)

Fourth Day of Term
Last day to add a class without academic dean’s permission
Last day to cancel enrollment and have fees removed
Last day to drop/add classes and have fees adjusted
Drop/Add ends at 11:59 p.m.
Students are liable for all fees for classes remaining on their schedules at 11:59 p.m.

Fifth Day of Term
Last day to submit waivers or billings
Last day to request VA deferments from VA representative in Student Veterans Affairs
Last day to submit waivers or billings for disbursement of financial aid
First day to apply for financial aid deferment and delayed delivery loans
All financial aid students must check their financial aid status at my.fsu.edu

Spring/Summer-term health insurance waiver appeal window closes

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. No classes. University closed.

Non-payment-of-tuition scheduled-cancellations processed for students without a tuition deferment

Last day to apply for Spring 2026 graduation. Apply online at https://my.fsu.edu

End of 7th Week of Term
Last day to submit form requesting S/U grading or to change S/U option back to regular grade
Last day to reduce course load without permission of academic dean. (Your dean’s permission is required to drop below 12 credit hours.)
Last day to drop a class without receiving a grade
Last day to withdraw from school without receiving a grade
Last day for doctoral students to take and pass their preliminary examination to add or convert dissertation hours for the current term
Summer/Fall-term insurance waiver window opens

Residence halls close for Spring Break at TBD p.m.

Last day for submission of post-defense, final-content-approved thesis, dissertation, or treatise and required forms

End of 12th Week of Term
Deadline for late drop with dean’s permission for all colleges.

Last day to petition academic dean for a reduction in course load
Last day to officially withdraw from the University
Last day to apply for AA Degree at the Office of Undergraduate Studies, UCA 3400
Veterans’ deferments expire; full tuition payment must be received to avoid a late payment fee

Final Exam Week

Last day for thesis, dissertation, and treatise students to receive official final clearance in the manuscript clearance portal

Term Ends
Last day to submit extensions for incomplete ("I") grades by 4:00 p.m.
Last day to submit ServScript hours online
